more typing practice (in person) - "21 Up in America" (2006 film)

Dear Enneagram Group,
We'll continue with our current series on typing practice, using real-life individuals as seen from in-depth documentary film footage.

For our March meeting, we'll view an American spin-off of the "Up Series" - the latest installment of this American version is called "21 Up in America" (2006) - and the entire film (just over 1.5 hours) is available on online at this YouTube link.

The film features 14 individuals, some grouped into small groups of two or three. Unlike the British version, which proceeds sequentially over its segments on each subject, the American version goes over the entire group in the first half, and then returns to a second and even third pass, focusing respectively on first on basic personality- and life-circumstance sketches, then on intimate relationships, and finally on careers. So it's advisable to try and watch the whole thing, if at all possible. The American version is also rather more free-form than the British one, with a more invisible narrator/questioner and relatively more live footage. I think it will serve as a rich and challenging source of typing-exercises - watching early is also a good idea, in case you want to repeat sections.
