Details
Greenpoint Library
Starting at the Grand Army Plaza entrance to Propsect Park in Brooklyn, we'll walk 5 flat easy miles through Prospect Heights, Fort Green, Clinton Hill, Williamsburg and Greenpoint to reach the Greenpoint Public Library, a state of the art new building focusing on environmental education. The library will be closed but we'll pass by the Pratt Institute, The Naval Cemetary, a native plant meadow & pollinator habitat on the site of a former Naval Hospital, particularly appropriate for Memorial Day Weekend. We'll also explore the Williamsburg waterfront. Once finished people may decide to lunch at numerous, interesting restaurants or bring lunch to a nearby park. Several nearby subways include the G and L trains. One may also walk over the Williamsburg Bridge into Manhattan.
